Most of the other facilities in the area advertise for 10 guests, as does the Castle.
If you compare we are sure you will decide to stay with us.
The other facilities in the area have 3 bedrooms and two baths.
The Castle has 5 bedrooms , three full and 1 half baths. Fully equipped kitchen, large foyer, Library, Greatroom with 22 foot high ceilings, dining room, 2 huge balconies and the Dungeon which is equipped with pool table, games, flat screen TV, unique bar, walk out sliding glass doors onto a patio with BBQ, and fire ring. That breaks down to just $87.20 per night per couple when you rent the entire Castle (all 5 bedrooms).
If you don't rent the entire Castle you get the Castle and number of bedrooms rented for your stay.
The B&B's in the area rent for $90.00 to $125.00 + tax per night. Most hotel rooms , which are 30 miles away cost more per night than the MacDarvey Castle when you rent the entire Castle.
We are attempting to keep the Castle as user friendly, clean, safe and affordable as we can for our guests.

These prices are for the ENTIRE CASTLE you DO NOT share the CASTLE with anyone with the exception of those you bring in. You use the number of bedrooms and bath's that you pay for. Example: if you rent for six guests you have the use of three bedrooms and the rest of the Castle. All unused bedrooms will be locked.

Absolutely NO PETS in the Castle!!!!! We love pets and have 4 ourselves, but we do not take them to the Castle and do not permit others to do so.
TWO NIGHT MINIMUM STAY!
Full payment must be received 30 days prior to arrival.
Please no drinks or food on pool table, and please do not allow children to play pool without supervision.
NO outside deep fat fryers to be used near Castle. If you want to deep fry outside you must set up in parking lot away from concrete!!!!!!!!!!
No one should tamper with any electric, TV or phone lines or enter any fuse boxes while they are guests at the Castle. If you need assistance with any of the above, call and we will be happy to fix any problems.
The Castle is absolutely limited to TEN overnight guests. If any of these rules are broken we have the right to ask you to leave immediately with no refund.
If you have a bed wetter, please tell us prior to your visit. We will provide protective pads for the beds.

No guns with the exception of self protection weapons. Please do not discharge firearms on the Castle property. This is an area where people from other lodges hike through the wooded areas along with other owners having livestock.
No fireworks
Reservations must be secured with $150.00 deposit. Balance due 30 days prior to reservation.
Reservation deposit 100% refundable if canceled 60 days prior to arrival.
All rates subject to state and local taxes of 9 %.
No smoking in Castle, smoking outside only, make sure your butt's are out!!!!

Please bring house slippers to wear in bedrooms. We have white carpets and there is not enough time to scrub carpets in between guests.
Do not allow children to eat or drink in bedrooms.

Your privacy is very important to us!!!!!!
After you pay your balance in full, we will E mail you the lock box code for the gate and the Castle. We will also supply the telephone number for the Castle. It is your responsibility to give anyone who may have to contact you in an emergency the phone # for the Castle. We will not give this number out, ( it is private) but if there is an extreme emergency we will contact you and tell you who has contacted us for the number. Again you are at the Castle to enjoy yourself and we do not want to bother you !
The Castle is a work in progress. The outside back of the Castles stucco is being completed. A new sitting area overlooking the Elk viewing area has just been completed.
Red with gold filigree Great Hall with 22 foot high ceilings. Glass wall with view that is paramount to any other in the area.
Fully equipped kitchen includes dishwasher, microwave, dishes, pots and pans, utensils, toaster, 12 and now a 40 cup coffee maker, electric mixer, griddle.
Everything you need to prepare and serve your meals.
Please use plastic utensils supplied for pots and pans.
Outdoor charcoal BBQ grill Please DO NOT use BBQ grills on any porches or close to Castle.
Outdoor fire ring, you supply firewood.
You will be responsible for outdoor fires if there is a fire ban at the time of your visit , you will be told not to have a fire. This is not our doing, but the Bureau of Forestry.
Satellite TV with DVD player. Great room TV is for D VD's and games, you will be able to watch the channel that is displayed in the DUNGEON.
Telephone for local calls, please bring calling card for long distance calls. Cell phones do not work in the area.
A/C in all bed chambers, dining room, library.
Rental agreement must be signed.
Huge dining room with high back wrought iron chairs, huge dining table, picture window with fantastic view.
Library with books for your relaxation and perusal.
The Dungeon is to die for. The faux painted stone walls are so realistic that you will believe you are in a dungeon of old. Kick back with family and friends and enjoy a drink, or just take in the beautiful outdoors through the sliding glass doors. The dungeon has a 32 " flat screen TV, juke box, unique bar (you will know what we mean when you see it), refrigerator for your beverages, card tables and games, pool table. This is The Prince and Dukes favorite room.
